HYDER GARDEN MATRICULATION SCHOOL

School History :
Hyder Garden Matriculation School is situated in No 1,Hyder garden Extn., Jamalia, Chennai 12 a very pleasant and calm locality. 

 
The School is named after Janab Be Hyder , businessman and philanthropist native of Bangalore settled in this area in the year 1875. The area “ Hyder Garden ” is named after him. The members of the Management belong to the 5th Generation of Janab Be Hyder. 

The school was started in the year 1999 to cater to the Educational needs of the wards of the local residents who faced great difficulties in sending their children to distant places for the sake of providing best education. Initially, the school was started in 1999 – 2000 as a Nursery & Primary School with the strength of 200 students, with classes from L K G to Std III . The very next year the school was upgraded as Matriculation School with classes upto Std VI . In the year 2004 school became a full fledged Matriculation school with classes upto Std X.  All the students of our school who appeared for the Std X Matriculation Board Examinations from April 2005, till date have excelled with distinctions and fetched 100% results for the school. The 2006 batch was congratulated by the Governor of Tamilnadu His Excellency Surjit Singh Barnala at Raj Bhavan. They belong to the most downtrodden sections of the society and many of them are First generation learners. Most of them were sponsored by the Management and a few philanthropists.

The present strength of the school is 850 students. The parents prefer to send the girls to our school as the school is near their residence, they find it safe and secure . So, there are more girl students in our school. We have 35 qualified teachers and 10 non- teaching staffs. Though the students are from the most under developed areas of North Chennai like Otteri, Pulianthope, Jamalia the Management is taking all possible steps to provide the best to the students at a very nominal and low fees. 

OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHOOL :
• To cater to the Educational needs of the students belonging to the most downtrodden sections of the society in North Chennai particularly from the areas like Otteri, Pulianthope, Mangalapuram, Jamalia etc.
• The Management is providing free education for nearly 150 very poor and deserving students irrespective of caste and creed.
• The management organizes special programme for the parents to educate them.
By the grace of the Almighty the management is able to continue this service without any hindrance from the past fourteen years.
