TIPS FOR PARENTS FOR HEALTHY CHILDREN

1. Start breast feeding your baby soon after birth 

2. Exclusive breast feeding till 6 months of age

3. Weigh the baby twice a month for first 3 months.
Once a month till one year and once in 3 months thereafter
4. Give all necessary preventive vaccines as recommended.

5. If you already have 2 babies consider seriously permanent means of sterilization.
If you have one baby now and need a second one plan for the same after 3 years , this will ensure better mother and child health

6. DO NOT BOTTLE FEED YOUR BABY
Bottle fed babies have increased risk of Asthma , Allergy , Diabetes, Obesity, cardiovascular disease , Childhood Cancers, Ear infections, etc

7. Start on cooked cereals and pulses for the baby After 6 months of age in addition to the breast Feeding. By the end of 1st year the baby should be given the food prepared for the family.

8. Do not give oil bath , castor oil , gripe mixtures or native medicines to babies

9. SELF MEDICATION IS DANGEROUS

10. Prevention is better than cure.
